Courtesy brings you over 25 years of computer hardware and software experience on tap. Our pro-active, root-cause based approach to diagnosis and repairs typically results in our customers typically needing our help up front, but very little later. And we don't mind that.

Our goal of trying to permanently fix all technical issues conflicts with the financial incentives in the managed services model, which is the primary reason we charge hourly. We feel strongly that our role is to get a business' machines well oiled, not to sell computer insurance.

Courtesy operates in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, but also services customers around the world ( including their hardware ) through a remote service program.

Unlike many IT companies, we do not require managed service contracts. We do not hold exclusive control over your accounts, 'round' billing to the nearest hour, etc! 

Instead of contracts, we bring you many of the benefits of 'managed service', by offering quick response times, monitoring, and preventative care at no additional cost. You only pay for the work we do on an hourly basis.

Most companies used to run in-house servers. Now, they often  outsource both their data and security to cloud providers. But one always has to question, if the 'gold' of the business, it's information, is truly in the hands of a 'fort knox'?

We offer monitoring, hardened Linux servers acting as Windows servers, managed antivirus, disk encryption, secure VPN, hardened firewalls, employee education, and more.

Each security solution is tested for efficacy with tools hackers use to break into systems. We not only want to make our customer feel safe, but we also like to prove that the fort knox we build for our customers is a real one!

When you are our customer, we provide not only technical assistance, but advisement on what to do with your IT infrastructure now, and into the future. Courtesy is happy to be  your mini-CTO.

We believe that propagating as much of our wisdom into a business helps them stay safe on the internet, make educated choices, and perhaps even do some light duty repairs without relying on us. ( We'd rather do the hard stuff! )

We offer the 'brain time' of a skilled technician for half the cost of the service we provide our customers. 'Brain time' includes lengthy meetings, training your employees, driving, and other 'soft skills' a technician is needed for, so that our customers aren't reluctant to reach out to an expert.

Efficiency and durability as a rule.

Courtesy specializes in outfitting small companies with hardware that is small, exceptionally durable, and efficient.

We believe that well thought out equipment and software choices can pay in the long run, and make a positive impact in a business' running costs. As a bonus, it's also better for the environment.

We also think it is unfair for an IT company to mark up hardware. We're also allergic to the extra business overhead it would create for us. So we don't! 

Instead, we act as our customer's concierge to locating and implementing the best products and services on the market. If we do not have an excellent recommendation in mind, or the need is specialized, our customer can hire us to do the research to find the best product for them.
